I'm a comedian traveling across the country on my 1st comedy tour with my GF! The 5th day of the tour a deer ran across the highway just outside of Lake Charles, LA. We hit the deer and it wrecked the radiator and blew a head gasket totaling our ONLY vehicle, as we share a car; the SAME car i run my landscaping business out of!
We made it to New Orleans, with the two final shows of the in Chattanooga & Denver, we will need to rent a car in N.O. to drive to the show in Chattanooga & drive to Nashville to fly from there to Denver- rent a car in Denver to drive back home. It's quite a tall task and I'm up for the challenge as I'm not big on canceling shows. I was thinking about making this GoFundMe before i left for the tour; however I'm a very prideful person and I do believe we would've made it back had we not hit the deer! Although now that's not the case!
We are safe and in good spirits in N.O. however we have to leave tomorrow to make the show. To add insult to injury Eventbrite still hasn't sent the money from the first 3 shows of the tour! My Aunt Anna Kelly also passed away last month in Ohio and No one has yet to cover the cost of her services, i feel like that now also rest on me; as no other relatives have the funds or means to come up with the money!
Lastly once we get back home to Las Vegas I will need to buy (used) truck to run my landscaping business! Nothing fancy just something reliable to haul my equipment and KEEP my clientele i do have and i can continue to support my GF, our dog & continue to do comedy while spreading joy/laughter across the country!
All I've wanted to do since i started doing comedy is to KEEP doing comedy! I've worked really hard even through the Pandemic producing shows in Las Vegas before going on the road; I know in my heart this is just a test and the universe trying to see if i really wanna chase this comedy dream or how easy I'll falter! My drive for comedy is considerably stronger than losing a vehicle and changing travel plans!
This GoFundMe was very hard for me to make, as I admittedly have too much pride at times... So this is me with NO other means of making it back without the help of others! Thank you all soooo much & even if you can't donate; Sharing it means so much to!
