I believe that Christian art should be good, true, and beautiful—but also credible.
For Christian fiction, I believe this is where a professional editor comes in. Words have power, we've all heard, but the power of a story lies as much in the content as in how the content is delivered. For an evangelist, the content is Jesus and the method is love (which happen to be one and the same).
My first book, The Tree, was not edited professionally. And while I believe the story is a good one—and it has indeed touched lives—I can't help but wonder how a professional could have made it that much more powerful. (I guess it's not too late!)
The Blood is the sequel to The Tree, and I believe it's another good story. Which is why I want to ensure I've told it as well as I can. And that's why I need an editor.
I hope to hand The Blood off to an editor for January 1, 2020. Your support would allow me to hire the editor I feel my book needs. And help me create a finished product that I pray will move you deeply. I would be so, so grateful, as I feel this is the next step in my writing ministry.
