Help the 12U Oakland Vipers Softball Team Get to the California State Championship!

Dear Friends, Family, and Community Supporters:

We are reaching out on behalf of the 12U Oakland Vipers Travel Softball Team—a remarkable group of young athletes who have earned the opportunity of a lifetime. For the first time in nearly a decade, the Oakland Vipers will travel to San Diego to compete in the 2025 California State Games USA Softball Tournament, representing Oakland Girls Softball League (OGSL) and Northern California at the State level. But we need your help to get them there!

Our Journey: This team’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Many of these girls from Oakland and Piedmont started playing together when they were 8 years old, enduring lopsided losses and tough seasons, but learning at each step of the way. They showed up, year after year, with dedication–driven by the love of the game–and this year, the Vipers have proven what’s possible when you consistently work hard and strive for excellence. The team has reached the final championship game in every tournament this season, climbing their way from Silver to Gold brackets. And after many hard fought 2nd place finishes, the Vipers went undefeated over three days in a 20-team tournament to win the 2025 USA Softball NorCal 12C Championship.

Our young athletes have earned a once-in-a-lifetime chance to represent Oakland on the State stage. However, traveling from Oakland to San Diego is a big undertaking. Tournament fees, transportation, lodging, and meals add up quickly. That is why we’re reaching out to our community to help raise funds to support the team and make this trip possible for every player. Our goal is to raise *up to* $10,000 to ensure every player gets to go, regardless of financial need.
