Support Tensil (& Emily) at the Hollywood Fringe Festival!!

Hi!

I'm writing this to you as Emily Blackwell and Tensil (that character you've seen Emily do on Instagram with the gorgeous purple leopard blazer and huge shoulders up to her earlobes??) to ask for YOUR help! Over the last 6 months, I've been building a one woman show called "Show Em Your Best with Tensil Newbottom" created around a character I made up named Tensil Newbottom. Tensil is a larger than life southern woman/ life coach/ love guru who tends to have her own vocabulary for basic words and is innately curious and amazed by all the people and things she witnesses along the way. The show is centered around a seminar held at a La Quinta Inn Ballroom where Tensil (me) helps people (her audience) find love, their inner courage, and how to stand in their power through a rollercoaster of life lessons, self help exercises, and her brand new method that's disguised in an aggressively long acronym.

This show has been so insanely impactful to my life and its timing couldn't have been more spot on. Turns out I needed Tensil's magic more than I ever thought possible. And it's shown me time and time again, what we are capable of when we put our mind to it. Its a comedy show don't get me wrong but most people have told me they leave feeling inspired, filled with joy and a little shocked! (Tensil brings the heat)

For the last 6 months, I've built and workshopped this show live in front of an audience alongside my two incredible directors and the most supportive community. We've had multiple sold out shows at this point but we want to keep the momentum going... a la the LA Fringe Festival! If you don't know what that is, it's a huge annual theatre festival in Los Angeles where for 2 weeks in June it's all out theatre and creativity. Plays, one woman shows, musicals, you name it. It's awesome and a whirlwind and a prestigious event to be apart of but also .... expensive!

With your donation I'd be able to cover theater rental, insurance fees (very legit stuff), director's fees, props + costume, tech needs and marketing costs. Any little thing helps and if you don't have the extra cash, no problem- we'd love to just see your smiling face at the show!!! Actually we'd love to see all of you at the show.... so while you're at it... do that too. :)
