Get Teddy Out Of Jamaica
The Ingram Family is in desperate need of your help. Theodore Ingram was in Jamaica to enjoy a well-deserved family vacation and to witness the vow renewal of his big sister, Regina Council. During the vacation, he slipped, fell, and severely injured his hip, leg, and back due to the hotel neglecting to keep their lobby floors dry after a tropical rainstorm. When the accident occurred, the hotel staff laughed, made jokes, & refused to take him seriously as he screamed out in agony. They did nothing to assist him as he sat on the floor for close to 2 hours waiting for an ambulance. He was then transferred to a private hospital in the area. Upon his arrival, the hospital and ambulance provider demanded to be paid immediately for the cost of his transportation & CT Scan. Once the cost of the CT Scan was paid in full, it was never completed due to the CT Scan equipment being broken. He was also forced to pay out of pocket for pain medication and other incomplete services. Within 8 hours, we had already spent over $5,000. 11 hours later, he was transferred to a public hospital for use of their CT Scan - for which we still have not received the images. For the past 3 days, He has been in that hospital with no true medical attention, food, medication, or answers towards his condition. He is unable to walk and has not been consulted by a doctor. We need to immediately raise $20,000 to have him medevaced by Friday to the United States so he can receive sufficient health care in a Florida hospital. The medical staff at his current hospital has not proven medically adequate; and we are terrified for his safety due to recent COVID-19 related deaths in Jamaica, as well as his previous health issues before surviving cancer. Our pockets have been stretched thin and our resources have been exhausted to no resolve. We must get him back home by the end of the week to decrease the chances of further damage. Any donation will be greatly appreciated!
