Help My Son Get Back on His Feet

As a mother, it’s heartbreaking to watch your child work so hard to build a dream and then have it suddenly put on hold.

My son, Spencer, is the chef and owner of Lia’s LUMPIA. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, our catering business has been growing faster than ever. Then, in an instant, everything changed.

Spencer suffered a severe Achilles tendon injury and now urgently needs reconstructive surgery, followed by months of physical therapy. As a chef, he depends on being on his feet every day. The longer surgery is delayed, the more difficult his recovery may become.

To make treatment affordable, he’s scheduled to have surgery in Mexico, but we still need to raise $7,500 to cover the surgery, rehabilitation, and medical expenses. Like many small business owners, he has invested everything back into his business and doesn’t yet have the insurance needed for an injury like this.
