Let’s help get Seán Brown to the World Championships!

The time has come for Seán to qualify for the World Championships in California and he needs our help to get there!!

In order to compete at the World Championships, Seán needs to compete at both the European Seniors and Irish Club Championships. While this is not an ideal situation for Seán, there is a silver lining. If Seán competes at both events AND qualifies for Worlds as he did in 2015, Seán will be competing at Worlds in the States. This maybe the last opportunity for Seán to make a World event, and for him to be able to compete in the US is almost the perfect storm!

As many of you know, Seán was scheduled to lift at Worlds in 2015 but passed up the opportunity to be at home for the birth of his son Theo. Unfortunately Seán is not receiving any funding from Weightlifting Ireland to compete in either event. That is where our lifting community can help to support a teammate and friends. Personally, as one of Seán’s athletes, I would love the chance to see my friend & coach compete with the greatest lifters in the World.
