Get Sean To The Paralympics!
Donation protected
On Sunday 8th July Sean went for a ride to the Welsh coast with a few friends and his parents. Riding is a hobby which he's very passionate about but on that day he found himself literally going through the back of a caravan. The accident happened through simply misjudging a corner, a mistake many new and even seasoned riders make, but he didn't get the beginner's break he deserved.
In true Sean style he landed on the caravan's sofa but had suffered serious damage to his legs and, as hard as the good surgeons at the Stoke unit tried, they couldn't save one of them. A short and traumatic while after the accident his left leg had to be amputated from just above the knee whilst his right leg required an enormous amount of stitching.
Sean is an otherwise healthy and active 25 year old guy who has incredibly loyal friends, loves spending time at the gym and being a source of amusement no matter the situation.
Sean is a kind man who cares about others and he absolutely deserves the best care going, his attitude throughout has been amazing, his motivation to turn this experience into a positive is inspiring.
Sean had a lot of thinking time whilst in hospital and has made an incredible commitment to train to swim for the ParalympicsGB team.
To get him there, we need to raise money for all the adjustments he will need in his new life, his home will need special fittings installing to help him get round independently, an automatic car would give him freedom and, most importantly, the best prosthetic will allow him to tackle life head on, learn to walk and maybe even run again as well as helping him train for the Paralympics, once he's ready.
Thank you for taking the time to read Sean's story, please do share this campaign as far as you can, the power of social media could have such a positive impact on his future and every donation, no matter how big or small, will go toward helping him achieve his dream in this new life of his.
Please help in giving Sean a second chance.
