Get Scout back to being the goodest boy
My roommate Matt found his dog Scout wandering the streets of Italy when he was stationed there with the Army’s 173rd Airborne Brigade. We now live together near Fort Lee, VA for officer training and Scout has been an amazing pet for the last 4 months. Scout absolutely loves the outdoors, whether it’s going on hikes or swimming in the river or just running around the backyard.
Unfortunately a couple weeks ago Scout tore both of his hind ACLs on a hike with Matt. Matt had to carry him in his hiking backpack for almost 3 miles because Scout couldn’t walk anymore. Scout is doing better and can hobble around the house but he isn’t the same energetic, active dog anymore.
The surgery to repair a torn ACL is expensive enough, but Scout has 2 torn ACLs. As much as Matt would love to get Scout taken care of, Uncle Sam doesn’t quite give out that kind of money. All of our friends, and especially Matt, hate seeing Scout moving slowly around the house and not able to be the same good boy he was before he got injured. I’m trying to raise money to help Matt pay for the surgeries so that he can get his hiking partner back.
