Rick Barton, founding member of the Dropkick Murphys and currently the lead singer of Continental, needs our help!
His mother is in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is deatlhy ill.  Rick is currently, along with his son, touring in Europe, but they plan to be back in the 'States on the 8th of November.  On the 9th, they hope to begin the trip down to St. Petersburg, Florida, in order to spend time with Rick's mother as she prepares to depart this world.
This fund is being started with the hope of helping to fund the trip down to Florida from Maine (with a stop in Boston)  for Rick, Stephen, Brutus, and one of Rick's other sons.  We're hoping to raise money to cover the following:

1. Gas. 
2. Food on the road.
3. A cheap place to stay near his mother and father's residence in Florida.

His plan is to stay there as long as he can, and to spend time helping his father to adjust to what will likely be the largest change in his lifestyle in a long time.

The people running this Go Fund Me campaign are doing so ENTIRELY in collaboration with Rick Barton and company.  No administrator will be taking ANY portion of the proceeds from this fundraiser for their personal use at any point.  This is all being done so that we can get Rick to see his mother, and to spend time with his family as she passes.
