Our friend Richie spent all of his savings and more helping folks out after Hurricane Harvey.  He hasn't gotten back on his feet since then...and he could really use the support of our community.  

Richie is one of the good guys!  He has pulled himself up by his bootstraps after his very tough youth and does good for anyone and everyone around.

Let's show him our love and gratitude.  As you uplift others- you too shall be uplifted.

Many know that Richie is my one of my bonus sons. Harvey was a storm of magnitude destruction. It destroyed homes, took lives and changed lives. I have witnessed first hand how this storm affected my son's inner beautiful strong spirit. He has suffered since leaving this area where live.
Richie has told part of his story about how helping my family and neighbors and friends in this area affected him. I agree with his hint at PTSD. His heart is so kind and in touch with spirit. He saw the good, the bad and the ugly of humans here. He felt so over whelmed. The help he SO needed with the demolition was scarce. He is a work horse....but he is human. My brother saw first hand Richie and his pure physical strength...demo is hard labor. He worked tirelessly for weeks. 

Richie Flores is a young man who now asks for our help. He is a proud man. It takes a real man to ask for help. 

Lets show my bonus son how much we love and respect him. 

Once a youth of violence and anger, he acted out and hurt many by his life style. A young foolish youth, he paid by being incarcerated for a very long time. He changed his life, his heart while in prison through study and yoga. Geoff O'Meara was the beginning of a life transformation. Others followed and helped Richie stay a new path of a kind, gentle, giving, compassionate man.

You can Google his name and find several documentaries on Richie's life story. Bob Peck is a film maker in Austin that has been instrumental in telling Richie's story...it is beautiful, heart warming

I have seen this year first hand my sons struggle since Harvey. 

He deserves to get his peace of mind back. Running a business like his involves a lot of work, hard back breaking work. He is so joyful and happy to work. He embraces life with gratitude....now lets just help.

Stand still....breathe and lets remember this too will pass.
