On November 26, 2022, our lives changed forever. At just 3, Rhea suffered a sudden and severe illness that left her paralyzed from the neck down. She spent one month in the ICU fighting for her life and then two more months at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, where she began the long journey of rehabilitation.
Since then, Rhea has continued to push forward with unwavering strength. She has endured countless hours of therapy, three major surgeries—including a nerve transfer, an emergency toe surgery, and brain surgery—and she is preparing for double hand surgery in Philadelphia later this month. Through it all, she has faced every challenge with incredible bravery, resilience, and a smile that inspires everyone around her.
Rhea’s spirit shines brighter than any obstacle in her way. She loves being included in everything her peers do, but transportation has become one of the biggest challenges we face. To give Rhea the freedom and inclusion she deserves, we are raising funds for a wheelchair-accessible van. This van will not only provide us with safe, reliable transportation to appointments and therapies but will also allow Rhea to participate more fully in family outings, school, and everyday life.
Every step of this journey has shown us just how strong Rhea truly is—but we can’t do it alone. Your support will make a life-changing difference in helping her continue to live with independence, dignity, and joy.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us give Rhea the chance to experience life without limits.
