Priscilla's Farm: Season 3!

Donation protected
Hi, friends!
Update: Nov 2023

Thank you for following along on my farming journey for 2 whole seasons! It's been a thrill of a lifetime to learn how to grow plants, to work alongside such talented farmers and growers, and to share my abundance with my community. Thank you to my ever-growing circle of friends and supporters new and old for supporting this tiny little farm. I attended several new farmers markets, I grew tons of new varieties and with a newly acquired van, I was able to extend my workshops and offerings to more people- all thanks to you!

I've been very passionate about uplifting my community of Oak Harbor and advocating for our incredible farmers, chefs and producers that work tirelessly for us. I'm working with a motley crew of folks who just want more access to fresh, locally-produced foods. We fight an uphill battle most days - we lack crucial infrastructure and equipment on the farm, our farmers market was cancelled this year due to staffing shortages, and our fellow small businesses and farms are closing their doors every day. If you'd like to see a more equitable, inclusive and sustainable food system here on the island, consider making a donation to our community farming fund!

This GoFundMe is a rolling fund that started 2 years ago to sustain my farming efforts. The funds are generally used to keep the lights on and to keep gas in the tank. For this funding round, I'm specifically raising funds for: a tunnel, fertilizer, packaging, insurance, and marketing materials.

Thank you for reading this far and for your pledge! I'm excited to share with you all the things I grow and cultivate in the coming year. I truly appreciate all of your support!

Grass Becomes a Wave is a farm and studio on Whidbey Island. I grow flowers, vegetables, medicine and dye crops for my botanical dye workshop series. This project is a dedication to my ancestors. I strive to remember, to witness, to honor and to heal my relationship to the land as a Black descendant of farmers.
