Get Poppy's Coffee rolling and caffeinating!

Hello! My name is Hannah Smith and I am the owner and founder of Poppy's Coffee based in Boulder, Colorado. Poppy is my deaf Australian Cattle/Pit mix pup, my trusty sidekick, and the face of the truck! Together we are Poppy's Coffee, serving delicious coffee at trailheads in the greater Boulder, Colorado area.

For years I have dreamt of owning and operating a coffee truck. I have spent 8 years behind several espresso machines gaining knowledge, experience, and connections. After managing a coffee shop in Boulder, Colorado for 4 years, I have been able to hone in on what the community needs and where the gaps are. That gap is a coffee cup-sized hole at our local trailheads!

My dream (which is slowly becoming a reality) is to convert a 1970s horse trailer into a beautiful coffee shop on wheels! I will take the trailer around to various trailheads around Boulder and the surrounding areas. If you are already out hiking, dog walking, cycling, trail running, or training for your next big event; you deserve to reward yourself with an ethically sourced and delicious coffee! Along with serving great beverages, Poppy's Coffee will have a trail clean-up initiative that will reward patrons for bringing litter back from their hike/walk/run. I have already secured the trailer, an espresso machine, an espresso grinder, a commissary kitchen, and several key pieces for the build-out and renovation. I am seeking $10,000 to cover the costs of the final steps. The donations will go towards paying a welder, buying a fridge, milk pitchers, a tablet to use as a point of sale, a silent generator, paint, the first month of start-up costs (like cups, lids, and milk), and the cost of the final few permits required to conduct business.

I couldn't get to this point in the Poppy's Coffee journey without the help of so many family and friends! This is the final push to make this dream become a reality! Poppy and I cannot wait to get out on the trail and serve you all a delicious #cupofPoppy!
