Get Penelope Well Again

Hi all, my name is, Sarah, and those of you that know me well, know that my bubbly rescue dog, Penelope has recently received some pretty serious diagnoses. Around Thanksgiving my poor girl could not walk without crying and after an ER vet visit the day before Thanksgiving, I was told she likely had a torn ACL in her left knee, spinal stenosis, and nerve degeneration. I followed up with my vet at the VCA Hospital in Hauppauge who took X-rays that confirmed the torn ACL and degenerative joint disease, which was followed by recommendation to see a specialist for surgical intervention.We saw the surgeon on NYE who shared with me that Penelope’s mobility issues are likely being caused by a spinal tumor or disc herniation and that the ACL is only her secondary issue. This poor dog has been on pain medications, NSAIDS, muscle relaxants, and steroids and is only getting worse. The next steps are a CT scan and a surgical/rehabilitative plan depending upon her results. I am not someone who likes to ask for help but the imaging, consults and medications have already cost me over $3000 and there will be more to come. Penelope truly rescued me when I adopted her and I am asking you for your help to allow me to repay her for the positive impact she has had on me. My sweet Penelope deserves to have the best quality of life and with support no matter how big or small I am hoping to give her that.
