We need to raise £2,600 to pay for an ambulance to bring my mum Pat home to the UK from Ireland, so that she can spend the time she has left with her 3 sisters and grandchildren.

Having survived lung cancer for 3 years, she was suddenly diagnosed with a brain tumour in April, just two weeks before she was due to leave Ireland for the UK, to live with me and my family, something she had always planned and was really looking forward to.

Emergency brain surgery and radiotherapy in Ireland followed, but have taken their toll, and she is now no longer able to communicate by email or phone with any of us in England, to whom she used to enjoying chatting every day.

She would really love to be in the UK, surrounded by those she loves, during her last few months. We all want to be able to show her some of the love and care she has shown so many others during a life spent working in social care, caring for children and rescuing poorly animals.
