My amazing brother Chachai is going to be doing the Parish Walk for the first time this year. He is still not quite old enough to walk the entire course but I am very confident he will make it the full 32.5 miles to Peel and we will be supporting him every step of the way.
My fit and healthy brother wants to raise as much money as possible to help bring home Yellow, a little two-year old dog, who was rescued from the Chinese Meat Trade as a pup at the start of 2020 along with other dogs in the same situation. The money raised will also help bring the other dogs to their new homes where they will be safe and loved.
Yellow, and many others like her have been saved from horrific living conditions and from the butcher’s knife. She and about 39 others are now ready to start new lives in their new homes in the UK.
These dogs are part of the Fly Home Forty project being run by Underdog International.
We were lucky enough to match with Yellow and are so excited to finally welcome her home.
However, thanks to the pandemic it has become eye-wateringly expensive to transport these dogs out of China and onwards to the many homes that are waiting for them.
It can cost upwards of £6,000 per dog to bring them home!
With your help, we can make sure these dogs get home as soon as possible! And, in turn, that means there will be more space in the shelter for more dogs who still need saving.
