UPDATE, October 22: Big Bend Towing hauled the truck to Tobin's Auto & Diesel in Carrabelle for diagnosis and repair. Isaias families need deliveries now, so we could not wait for the money to come in first. Your gift now pays for three things: the repair bill at Tobin's, 7 new tires, and the title, registration and plates to put the truck on the road legally in the ministry's name. We will post the shop estimate and every receipt here.

Who we are: I'm Kurt Lent, senior trustee of We Not Me Farms Ministries Inc., a Florida 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 41-2439433) based in Panacea, Wakulla County, Florida. We are opening a community store in Carrabelle (Franklin County) where nothing costs over $5, with a food pantry and a storm-relief donation center.

Why this matters right now: a company has offered free drinking water for Hurricane Isaias families, and we had to ask another relief group to go pick it up because our truck won't run.

The truck: I donated my tan 2006 Ford F-350 6.0 diesel dually flatbed to the ministry. It is the ministry's only truck, and it pulls a 35-foot cargo trailer to haul donated water, food, store goods and equipment to storm-relief providers in the Panhandle. Before it can go to work it needs two things: it won't start (it looks like an electrical problem), and it needs tires.

How the money will be spent:
- Electrical repair: AAA covers the tow to a regional shop. Donations pay for the shop's diagnosis and the repair (parts and labor), plus anything else the shop finds is needed to make the truck safe to haul a loaded trailer.
- Tires: 7 new 37x12.50R17 LT tires - 6 on the dually and 1 mounted spare - about $2,100 to $3,200.
We will post the shop estimate, the tire quote and every receipt here. If anything is left over, it goes to storm-relief supplies for Isaias families, and we will post that too.

Get the truck on the road and I will put the miles on it - picking up donations and delivering them to the people and relief groups who need them.

Neighbors helping neighbors - every day and when disaster strikes. Thank you!
