Get Our Sea Scouts Sailing Again

Parents of 1776 Organization is a registered 501c3 charity that provides financial support for scouting in the cities of San Ramon, Dublin, Danville, and Alamo. We have a Sea Scout program, established in 2010, open to boys and girls aged 14-20 and we maintain our own sailboat to offer overnight adventures.

Our Scouts learn how to sail our Catalina 36, taking it to cities all over the bay and delta.

In April of this year, we had a catastrophic failure of our boat's transmission. Estimates are that it will cost us $8,000 to replace the transmission and repair the damage caused when it failed. The boat is currently being repaired at a boatyard in Alameda.

We know people are tightening their belts these days due to rising costs. If you're in a position to make a small donation to help us get our boat, and our Scouts, back on the water, we would be very grateful.
