Our doctors and nurses are putting themselves on the frontline with Covid-19. They are going into war for us without any protection. Masks are running extremely low, and they need our help. These masks and shields will be given to doctors and nurses at Sutter and Dominican hospital in Santa Cruz. Katie Diego has someone she can order masks and shields from, and we need to order them as quickly as possible before they run out. We will be placing an order within the next few days, so it is imperative that we raise the money now. We know this is a difficult financial time for so many, but if you are lucky enough to still have any money to spare, please help us. Even if you don’t, please share this campaign or ask anybody you know that might have masks to donate (dentists, contractors, painters, etc.) to please contact us. Hand sanitizer is also in short supply. Thank you!! Let’s save our heroes so they can save us.
gofundme does take a cut, so if you’d like to Venmo me @Grace-Kau or PayPal me [email redacted] (use friends and family), that would also be fantastic!!
I want to make it clear that there is a nationwide shortage. It isn’t the hospitals faults—their usual vendors are completely overwhelmed and out of stock. There are individual people who have access to smaller vendors that normally do not sell to hospitals that are able to order privately. Katie Diego is a small business owner who is able to order some supplies that are in stock now. We know this is not nearly enough for the hospitals, but it is what we can do.
