Get On Board with OnBoard Charcuterie
Hey friends and fam! We are following what our gifts and hearts have been nudging us to do for several months now. Between Sarah's artistic culinary vision and Kyle's MBA, we're setting out to bring OnBoard Charcuterie to Miami, Florida. Sarah has been designing charcuterie boards for fun for a couple years now, and in light of Kyle's appetite and subsequent research we've decided to enter professionally into the world of boards...
To our amazement we've found the industry to be undersaturated in our area and last November we made some calls and found every local Charcuterie businesses completely booked by November through New Year's!! This means there is high demand! *Enter OnBoard Charcuterie, Miami*
We have already registered as an LLC, bought a website domain, company phone number, created an Instagram, created a logo, networked with local suppliers, registered our kitchen with the state, opened a business banking account, and ordered boards...However, the next steps we need to take in order to get this thing off the ground will require a tad more capital. Next steps include securing inventory and building boards for pictures to build our website/Instagram page (we're hiring) and sample out to the local community! Kyle's presence as a UM football coach (Go Canes!) will be a great asset to our networking endeavors. From there we can officially launch!
Our boards will be distinct because they will be the only option in the area offering nitrite/nitrate-free meats! (Nitrates and nitrites are chemical additives used in many cured meats that are potentially carcinogenic). Our meats will be sourced from makers who preserve with salt, sugar or celery powder instead. In addition, our boards will feature as many local vendors as possible (cheese, crackers, breads, jellies) as well as gluten free and organic options! These are just some of the features that will highlight our brand as unique.
To wrap up, we welcome any support you can offer (including ideas or services!) and are so grateful for it. (Hint: See our "Reward Tiers" below for the gifts we have to offer our supporters!)
