Hi, My name is Nova , and I’m raising funds for facial feminisation surgery (FFS) a step that feels absolutely vital in helping me finally live as the woman I truly am.

This journey has been deeply personal, and at times, incredibly difficult. As a trans woman, I experience intense gender dysphoria, particularly around my face. It’s often the first thing people see, and when it doesn’t reflect who I am, it can lead to misgendering and unwanted attention. Over time, this has contributed to severe anxiety and agoraphobia. There are days where even stepping outside feels overwhelming, because I’m so afraid of being seen, judged, or invalidated.

Living this way has been isolating. Simple things like going to the shop, meeting friends, or attending appointments can feel like insurmountable challenges. I want more than this. I want to feel safe in my own skin, to move through the world without fear, and to be seen for who I am without hesitation or doubt.

Facial feminisation surgery isn’t about changing who I am it’s about allowing the world to see me as I’ve always seen myself. It would help reduce the constant anxiety I carry, ease my agoraphobia, and give me the confidence to re-engage with life in a way I haven’t been able to for a long time. It’s a crucial step toward improving my mental health and reclaiming my independence.

The funds raised will go directly toward the cost of surgery, including surgeon’s fees, hospital costs, anaesthesia, and pre- and post-operative care. Because this is a specialised procedure, I may also need to travel, so part of the funds will help cover transportation, accommodation, and recovery time where I won’t be able to work.
