We are beyond proud to share that our daughter Nevaeh has been invited to compete in the BFA Nationals, the largest girls baseball tournament in the United States!!!
This prestigious tournament is hosted in Rockford, Illinois, home of the legendary Rockford Peaches and the historic All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The legacy of women in baseball runs deep there, and what an honour it is for Nevaeh to have the opportunity to be part of that history, to walk onto fields where women once fought to prove they belonged.
Teams travel from across the U.S., Canada, Australia, France, Mexico, South Korea and beyond. This is Nevaeh’s chance to compete against some of the best young female baseball players in the world — to challenge herself, to grow, and to stand on a truly international stage.
Nevaeh has been playing baseball for six years, and her love for the game continues to grow every single day. She throws herself into every opportunity to improve and giving it everything she has. She truly loves this sport.
For Nevaeh, this is about more than sport. It’s about representing Australia. It’s about proudly carrying her Tongan and Aboriginal heritage onto an international field. It’s about showing other young girls, especially girls who look like her, that they belong here too.
As incredible as this opportunity is, the costs are significant. We are raising funds to help cover:
• International flights
• Tournament registration fees
• Accommodation and transport
• Uniforms and team expenses
• Travel insurance and associated costs
Any contribution, big or small, will help make this dream possible. And if you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page means the world to us.
Thank you for supporting girls in sport. Thank you for supporting our daughter. Thank you for backing her dreams.
Let’s help Nevaeh step onto that field in Rockford and show the world exactly what our girl can do.
