If you know me, then chances are pretty high that you know Blue (the goodest, treat-loving, pig-oinking dog there is). She’s my best friend and one of my greatest comforts, and now she needs help.

Two months ago, she was brought in to her regular vet because she was limping on her front left leg. At the time, radiographs were taken, and it was advised to restrict her exercise and medicate with NSAIDs and pain meds. The hope was that it was a soft tissue injury that would heal on its own. When these things did not work, she was brought back for a follow-up appointment. At this time, it was recommended to seek a referral with an orthopedic specialist. Fast forward to May 29th, I brought her to Blue Pearl to see Dr. Bianucci, where repeat radiographs were taken. These showed not only an injury to one of her ligaments but a broken carpus as well.

I was told that she would need surgery to stabilize both her ligament and repair her broken carpus. I was given an estimate that ranges from $4,583-5,231. I would love more than anything to be able to have her foot repaired ASAP but am not currently in a position where I can afford to do so. Any help to cover the cost of her surgery would be greatly appreciated, and if you cannot afford to do so, I understand and thank you for reading about my baby.
