Hi, my name is Emily and I am fundraising for my beautiful mum who sadly 2 weeks ago got given the devastating news that she had a tumour in a rare part of the body, called the ampullar (biliary duct connecting the pancreas), however since then has had multiple scans and tests and we have been informed that the cancer has spread and is no longer curable via surgery.

We have been advised that palliative chemotherapy may extend her life by a couple of months, but other than this there is no clear timeline.

I have fond memories as a child going on holidays abroad to cyprus, my mums favourite country. In recent years, health, mobility and just general life has meant that unfortunately she has not been back to this country in over 10 years.

What I would like to do is raise funds to go towards travel insurance and actually getting her on this holiday to fulfil the time we have left.

Any funds raised will go towards predicted high travel insurance costs due to the nature of a terminal illness, and also if possible any further trips she wishes to do.

I understand that they are many people diagnosed with cancer everyday and there is nothing special about myself or my mum in this situation, however a plea to kind, good natured people is what I am appealing to.

I would love to make what time we do have special and memorable.
