Help my mum access her garden

This year for my mums Birthday we have created this fundraiser.

Since she broke her shoulder last summer she has found it incredibly difficult to use her crutches as the pain is too difficult to bear. Therefore her mobility has suffered and she is finding it more difficult to walk. She is having to use her wheelchair more. However she would love to be able to acess our back garden but can’t due to the threshold being too high.

"I can’t use a ramp as it’s a trip hazard for Pat (my husband) so I know it’s a big ask but I’m appealing for donations towards a low threshold patio door just to access the back garden. For the last two years I’ve used my birthday fundraiser for charities close to my heart so this year I’m being a bit selfish and trying this idea. Any amount will help as I’m just looking to start a fundraiser and hopefully get some help from other charities.

I believe a low threshold patio door will cost around £3,000. "

So Long way to go yet but a couple of years ago Pat re built driveway to incorporate a slope just so she could get her chair out of the house. But sadly she can’t accesss the back garden from there.

"Anyway I’m finding out being more disabled costs a fortune! "
