My name is Emily, and I’m currently living in Boa Vista, Cape Verde. They say that animals have a way of finding the people who need them most, and that couldn't be truer for the tiny kitten who crossed my path when I was at my lowest.

When we met, I was going through a difficult time, and his companionship became my anchor. He gave me a reason to smile again, and now, I want to repay that debt of love by giving him the life he deserves.

In Boa Vista, the reality for stray animals is heartbreaking. There are far too many souls and not enough homes to keep them safe. I initially tried to find him a local family, but the options were nonexistent. While there are shelters, they are overwhelmed—placing him in a colony with 60 other cats wasn't the life I wanted for him. Even worse, stray animals here often face the constant threat of poisoning.

I couldn't leave my best friend behind to face that fate.

I have decided to officially adopt him and bring him back to England, where we will have a stable, safe home with my sister. However, the journey from Cape Verde to the UK is incredibly long and expensive. Every penny raised will go directly toward his:
