Get MJs Mammy to Scotland

Hi my name is Leah and I'm fundraising for my best friend and her little boy. In June 2024 Amy's son MJ was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called 1P36 Deletion Syndrome. Waiting lists are years long, there is very little known about the syndrome and Amy and her family need help.

1P36 Deletion Syndrome comes with seizures, heart problems, kidney problems, low life expectancy, eye and ear problems, feeding and weight gain issues, intellectual disability, developmental delays, and more complications.

Next July there is a conference in Scotland specifically for families with this Deletion organised by the 1P36 Family Trust. Doctors, Specialists and speakers from UK and USA will be attending a conference at The Holiday Inn, East Kilbride, Glasgow, Scotland on the 25th to 27th July next year. I am raising funds for Amys flight and hotel to go to this conference to meet with these specialists as well as other families with loved ones who have this Deletion, as she has been unable to return to work as a result of MJs needs.

Any funds over this will be kept aside for therapies, genetic counselling and testing, medical equipment and any other expenses MJ may need for his development and care.
