Get Mike into the Airlines!

Hi, this is Tom Hail from Watsonville Airport's EAA Chapter 119. EAA or Experimental Aircraft Association is a nationwide organization of pilots and aircraft owners whose goal is advocacy for safety, education, and aviation rights. Young Eagles is EAA 's national program to get youth exposed and involved in aviation in any way they desire. EAA Chapter 119 has given over 7000 kids in the Watsonville area airplane rides and education during the 30 years of the program, just some of the 2 million kids nationwide. I am the Chapter President and Young Eagles Coordinator.

One of our Young Eagles is Mike Murray who has started his pilot training, recently soloed, passed his FAA written exam with a 93% score, and is in the cross-country phase of basic flight training.

Mike's goal is to get into one of several airline cadet classes but he must first complete his private pilot license and instrument rating. Unfortunately, cash is tight even with the help of the mentors he has.

EAA Chapter 119 would very much like to see Mike succeed like many of our other Young Eagles. Any little bit donated would be a big help for one of our youths to achieve their dream of becoming a pilot, in Mike's case an airline pilot. As Mike progresses I will be paying select bills from this fund as needed to complete his initial private license and into his instrument flight training.
