OK, one final push in my public radio pledge break mode. At $7,075 we are now in striking difference of the special stretch goal we set a couple of days ago! You know how important this is. You know how much Michael means to you. And you know how much your helping him get through this tough patch means to him. Together -- with even a handful of very modest gifts -- we can make this happen. Unfortunately, I can't offer a tote bag or a mug. "Together, we raised our goal in less than 24 hours.
Because of this outpouring of generosity and our unfailing faith in the Universe, we have stretched the goal to 7500, to not only provide a decent used car for Mike, but also provide supplemental income in the next few months as he starts a new career as--wait for it--a cake decorator!
It's the perfect job for him: artistic and steady. The downside is that it's minimum wage to start. But it's a start! More funds in the bank will help Mike get through this tight spot. Thank you again for giving to this man who has given us all so much through the years."
Let's get Michael rolling again. A good used car so he can get to job interviews for starters. More if you can to help him get on stable financial footing.
