Hi my name is steve the father of Melanie. She was on holiday with us in fuereventura when she had a stroke and bleed on the brain, she has downes syndrome and is only 43. When we contacted the insurance people they informed me that we didnt have 100% cover because of an anomaly in mels medical records so were not entitled to any advance payments. So this means my wife and I will have to pay for anything we need to stay with mel until she is able to get back to the uk. We are having to find our own accommodation and food. We are hopeful of a speedy recovery for mel to be medivaked back home. All at the moment is hope and pray she gets better soon.
