My name is Michael Midgette. I am a PGA Professional in the Metropolitan Section, an Assistant Professional at Hempstead Golf & Country Club, and a Certified Instructor at Eisenhower Park.
The money being raised will be used for:
- Q - School & Winter Tournament expenses.
- Developing my very own golf improvement app filled with exclusive tips, drills, product discounts, and more.
- EVERY $10 raised, I’m donating $1 to the First Tee Foundation!!

RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Started and designed 3 of my own websites: instruction (gogolfonline.com ), personal (michaelmidgette.com ), and distribution company (playbetterdistributors.com )
- Grown my email list to over 1,000 people
- Grown my clientele of over 250 different students of all skill levels
- Been certified in Teaching & Coaching by the PGA in 2017
- 10+ professional victories all over the East Coast of the U.S. (Most recently winning the 2018 Carolinas PGA Head Professional Championship with 72/68 & winning 2018 Met PGA Assistants Tour Event at Westchester Hills with a 66).
- Played in 5 of last 6 Met Opens (earning Medalist Qualifier Honors in 2 Local Qualifiers), 4 of last 6 New York State Opens, & 5 of last 6 Long Island Opens (no victories, but a few top 25s and top 30s)
- Successfully advanced through Pre Qualifying at Q School 2018
- Qualified for the 2018 National Assistant Pro Championship with a T4 finish out of 168 players (67-68 at Bethpage Red)
- Started my own YouTube Page for Golf Tips (drills and training aid reviews), grown my Instagram pages (@mikey.golf/@play.better.golf/@longislandgolftips) to over 10,000 total followers, and I am exclusively the PGA Professional Representative for Selfie Golf USA.
- Last, most certainly not least, I performed a Golf Marathon at Boca Municipal, playing and walking 54 holes on my own, entertaining my following on Instagram Live throughout the day, all to raise money for tournament play, benefitting St Jude’s Children Research Hospital, raising over $5,000 for the foundation in my first ever marathon.

This year, I have been blessed with the opportunity of becoming an Assistant Professional by a good friend and Head Professional at Hempstead Golf & Country Club. I have worked 35+ hours a week spread out through 4 days a week, running junior clinics, conducting player services, monitoring pace of play, first tee, and practice conditions, and organizing outside operations. On the side, teaching 10+ hours a week at Eisenhower Park, conducting Demo Days for the training products I have partnered with, all while maintaining a golf game to compete. Collectively, this year has been the best and most consistent of my career on the golf course, and I can't imagine how much better it could be with just one year of FINANCIAL SUPPORT.
