I've got my bags ready and I'm prepped to learn in Germany! 

Hi, I'm Shawna—a non-traditional student in my last year of PhD studies. I am a big advocate and member of the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field, and I am studying the professional identity development of ECE educators.

As a part of my final year, I was accepted into a Study Abroad to Germany, where our study focuses on “Learning for Democracy & Social Change”…something I believe is deeply connected to ECE and making positive social change to support young children, their families, and the educators who teach and care for our youngest citizens.

I have been able to find funding for more than half of the Study Abroad fees, so I am asking for support to cover the last $2,000 before I leave for Germany in June.
