Help Maxi the Indian street pup get back on her feet! ❤️

Hi! Namaste ✨
We're Kartik, Kirsty and Chhavi - three animal lovers who came together through a twist of fate on a cold December day in Delhi, India in 2019. All because of two tripod "indie" street dogs named Lotus and Gorelal.
Since that day, we've worked together to help countless animals on the streets of Delhi who need an extra bit of help ❤️
We're raising funds to help a little six month old Indian street pup named Maxine. A few weeks ago, she was hit by a careless person & their vehicle, impacting both of her back legs & leaving her with a shattered femur (thigh) bone.

She had the necessary surgery asap (and was an absolute trooper!), and now has exterior plates and pins in place. But she requires intensive care for the next five months at least and will require frequent vet visits, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions to ensure that she heals well and regains full function of her back legs.
At the tender age of around 6 months old, that means she'll have spent almost half her life healing from this injury by the time she reaches 10 months of age...

Surgery so far has exceeded ₹45,000, so we hope to raise at least £400 to cover this! Any extra amount will be used for her physio and hydro sessions.
Should we exceed the target further, we plan to save for our very own hydrotherapy pool to help with the rehabilitation of more dogs like little Maxi. Road traffic "accidents" are sadly such a common occurrence for dogs living on Delhi's streets, so having a place to conduct hydrotherapy sessions and offer rehabilitation for other injured dogs would be the absolute dream! ✨
Any amount you can spare means the world. We are so so grateful for your support and for taking the time to read this.
Thank you! ❤️
(Sloppy kisses from Maxine :') )

Where it all began...
Our first success, and joint project was a little indie girl named Tapu. She'd been hit by a vehicle, left without use of her back legs and needed a safe place to stay, gain strength and learn how to walk again. Chhavi brought her to Kirsty's door in a wicker basket during the first COVID lockdown and Tapu became the first foster of our newly founded initiative Lotus Indie Foundation! With lots of help from Kartik, Kirsty and Chhavi, Tapu eventually got back on her feet and found her forever home ❤️
Five years later...
... Enter Maxine!
Little Maxi has taken us all back to 2020, and her case closely mirrors that of Tapu's (they even look the same!). Born on the streets of Saket, Delhi along with 4 other cheeky siblings, Maxine has spent the first 5 months of her life learning how to be street smart and how to win the attention of passers by with her cute puppy dog eyes. She's always been the smallest and sweetest of the bunch!
We made sure to fully vaccinate the five pups, and sent their mum, Alexa, for sterilisation as soon as it was safe to do so! The puppers are all next in line for sterilisation when they're old enough too (which we also need to raise funds for!)
Once Maxine has healed, unless we can find her the perfect forever home, we plan to release her back to the place she's known as home, with her siblings. But it's a busy part of town, and there's never a guarantee that things like this won't happen again.
Ideally, we'll raise the funds to cover her surgery, keep her happy and healthy with us until she's all healed up, and find her human soulmate who will adopt her and give her the life they all deserve!
If you're gonna dream, dream big, right?! ✨
If you can't donate, please consider spreading the word for little Maxine.
Let this be the start of Maxi's happy beginning ❤️
