Single mom of disabled daughter seeking emergency help! Hello, my name is Mary and I am the single mother of a beautiful 18 year old daughter with autism and intellectual disability. Sophie needs 24/7 care and support which I provide on my own. My daughter Sophie and I live in Providence, RI with our sweet cat, Meow. We have unfortunately fallen on hard times and are in need of some expensive car repairs. Because Sophie has a lot of complex medical needs, and I am a cancer survivor myself, it is essential that we have a vehicle to get to our providers and therapy for appointments as well as to take Sophie into the community daily. It’s so stressful for Sophie whenever our car is out of service because her routine is interrupted. I’m hopeful that we can raise some funds to alleviate some of this stress for both of us and get us on the road again.
