Help get Marilyn to "ReGather"

I'm secretly working to cover all the expenses for my dear friend and colleague Marilyn Jenks to participate in a conference she would love to attend but otherwise could not afford. I am seeking to raise $2,600 before the conference's early-bird registration window closes on March 10. As soon as we've reached our goal, I plan to deliver the good news to Marilyn and rock her world!

Why This Conference?

Marilyn is a grateful alumna of the Renovaré Institute, a cohort-based Christian spiritual formation program that "mod­els, resources, and advo­cates full­ness of life with God expe­ri­enced, by grace, through the spir­i­tu­al prac­tices of Jesus and of the his­tor­i­cal Church." An avid reader, deep thinker, and thoughtful practitioner, Marilyn was profoundly impacted by her experience with Renovaré and has continued to use what she has learned to bless others and enrich her own walk with Jesus Christ.

I was sitting at my desk across from Marilyn a few weeks ago when she received an email inviting her to a Renovaré conference called "ReGather". Her excitement at the prospect of reuniting with her instructors and meeting fellow Christians with a passion for spiritual formation was matched only by her dejection a few days later when she informed me she could see no way to pay for the cost of airfare, hotel, etc. when so much of her weekly pay goes toward rent. I have estimated $2.6K to cover all the expenses related directly to the conference, as well as money enough to cover her lost income for the week (I don't want to cut into Marilyn's paid vacation time which is already spoken for).

I have confirmed Marilyn's continued interest in the conference and have secretly obtained unpaid time off on her behalf from our supervisor to cover the dates of the event. Please help us send this dear friend to a retreat that she so richly deserves; and remember, it's a secret! Shhhhhh!
