Get Malachy's Bum to Glasgow ! for U.N. COP 26 !!

Hello Friends & Family !

After a hectic departure from by beloved Bay Area ,returning to my familiar & welcoming birthplace was still very disorienting and left me rootless ! & at sea !

It’s been a rapid & tumultuous 2+ years since then for everyone!! FFS !

 

Absence really does make the heart grow fonder !!

 

My spirit is missing an S.F. style Wicked,Come-Unity Gathering,from Sunset to Sunrise and tootling Home ,as the old city stirred awake ! or more likely drifting into the cozy End-Up!

On a practical level, I’m also missing the convenience of sending my indispensable wheelchair cushions and pumps from S.F. to Wisconsin for repairs - and back in about 2 weeks! It’s much pricier from here , & Her Majesty's Customs hit me with import taxes! They thought it was a new item! They’re not regular NHS items so they won't help me to service them. I recently sent both to the US for repair - a pump needed replaced,a battery,a burst air-bladder and electronics upgrades ,with shipping both ways and HMC taxes ! Total $1150 b4 shipping - With the help of a friend & family I’ve gotten one back as I was grounded without it .

But, I could really use Your help as the other cushion is still stuck in Wisconsin ! I also only have one battery charger (for the pump) and need to buy one of their proprietary chargers, that I really need as a backup!

I had a back-up, but it decided to stay in the Bay ! (Chuck? DanDyLion ??)

It's super important to have a back-up so that I don't get caught out, especially if I'm far from Home-Base . And I must express, that me and my bum always love the fuzzy feeling of support that I get knowing that my friends and family, especially you in the Bay Area have got my back and my bum!

Why the long explanation You might Say?

Well, this is a really BIG ASK !!

 

The other reason I need a back-up cushion is so that I could take a very special trip to Glasgow in November . Leaving San Francisco was made much,much harder having witnessed the orange and ashen Skies of the September 2018 fires. But even more disturbing within a couple of days of arriving in Ireland there were sizable gorse fires in Donegal that prevented a niece from attending a wedding in time.(fortunately the priest was diverted too!) . There's been almost 1000 fires of different sizes in the Mourne Mountains, not far from us, since 2016. And now, my sister and niece are within phone-camera range of the Costa del Sol blaze !! It has all gotten too close to home as too many of you know, and also for those most vulnerable, far beyond our corporate media’s bubble.

 

To use an analogy the horse that is Climate Change has picked up pace from a gentle but persistent walk,to a steady trot , Or is it a Gallup ? We need to take the whip from the insane Fossil-Fuel Jockey and get our governments to rein in the horse before it crosses the finish line. If & When the governments FAIL us AGAIN in COP26 ! Then we the people need to become eco-suffragettes and throw our bodies in front of that horse !

In November our so-called leaders and greenwashed mega corporate criminals are meeting for the U.N.’s IPCC - COP 26 (Conference Of the Parties! ) in Glasgow and I want to be there with the Come-Unity banner - plenty of Big Bass Beats and a brand new shiny disco-ball.
In fact massive arrays of ground-based mirrors across the Earth complemented with gargantuan forests of Moso Bamboo,Hemp,Kelp,Mangroves and Seagrass might be a pathway towards Survival .

If we get into the COP 26 Conference to EXHIBIT then these ideas will be on display - if not we’ll make some effin’ NOISE outside !!

I have 2 months to gather up a posse and to renovate my accessible van with extra storage, possibly some solar panels, a place for my air-mattress and to charge my chair, devices etc !
