Get Maëlle to her First Canadian Olympic Trials

Maëlle, a local swimmer with Pacific Coast Swimming, has been working exceptionally hard over the last year and a half. Recently, at the 2024 BC Winter Provincial Championships, Maëlle achieved Swim Canada Olympic Trials junior qualifying times in both the 200 m and 100 m breaststroke events, and is currently ranked #2 in the nation in her age group. While Andrea and I have 100% confidence that Maëlle has the chance to do great things anytime she hits the pool, this was a bit unexpected and not part of our plan (or budget) for the season.
Andrea and I are extremely proud of the hard work she has put in, and are so very happy to see her enjoying the process and achieving success as a result.
Maëlle has a bright future in swimming, and we expect that she will have opportunities to swim at Trials in the future, but being able to experience Canadian Trials as a junior swimmer during an Olympic year will be an incredible experience. One that will inspire and prepare her as she continues to pursue her dreams in a sport she loves.
Competition and travel fees for trials are expected to be approximately $3,500 CAD. Andrea and I would love to be able to provide each of our children with the means to take advantage of any opportunity that comes their way, but that's just not the situation we (like many) are in.
After planned meets in Edmonton, Canadian Western Championships in Winnipeg, and Canadian Junior Championships in August in Toronto, Maëlle's competition budget is maxed out.
Please consider supporting Maëlle and providing assistance in getting her to Trials. Any little bit helps to encourage a young athlete in pursuit of big goals.
