Hi everyone,

Buckle up. I’ve done it again. Against all logic, common sense, and my bank account’s wishes, I’ve qualified for the CrossFit Games in San Jose, California this July — for the second year in a row.

Yup, you read that right. Turns out I’m not a one-hit wonder… I’m a two-hit wonder!

The journey so far has involved:

--Participating in the CrossFit Open.

--Getting through Quarterfinals.

--Grinding through the online qualifier and narrowly missing out.

--Flying to Paris for the in-person Semifinal and punching my ticket!️

We’ve already sorted flights and accommodation for San Jose, but now we're looking at:

$500 competition sign-up fee

Food (because even semi-serious athletes need calories that aren’t just protein powder and gummy bears)

Local transport, random competition bits etc

I’m an English tutor and CrossFit coach and outside of training I spend my days teaching teens how to write essays and grown adults how to do burpees and thrusters without crying‍

I don’t have any sponsors (shocking, I know — apparently “mildly unhinged masters athlete who loves suffering” isn’t a top marketing demographic yet)

I’m incredibly proud to represent Greece and the UK, as well as my box, CrossFit Death or Glory at the highest level, but I need a bit of support from the CrossFit community, friends, family, kind strangers, and anyone who enjoys watching people suffer on purpose, to make this trip possible without the additional financial stress.

Any donation helps. £5 gets me a coffee. £20 gets me a post-workout meal that isn’t just sadness with a side of DOMS. £500 gets you naming rights to my next shoulder injury
