Get Lisa To Berlin Opera Academy

I'm Lisa, and I've been working and studying my whole life as an Opera Singer. It's been tough at times, but I'm lucky enough and have worked hard enough to have had many exciting opportunities to perform as well. It can be a difficult life, and there can be times where you feel as though you'll never make it. Those are the times when you have to dig deep and remind yourself that to live without chasing your dreams and goals is not to live at all.

After a year of auditions, small projects and big setbacks, I'm thrilled to announce that I've been awarded a place this year at the highly subscribed and hugely prestigious Berlin Opera Academy! I will be appearing as Martha Sheldon in "The Crucible" and studying Donna Anna in "Don Giovanni"!

Berlin Opera Academy is the premier European opera training program providing practical professional instruction to emerging artists in the most operatically important city in the world.

I'd be staying in Berlin for a whole month, studying and working alongside industry professionals, audition panelists, conductors and directors, and I really need your help and support! The course fees are big, but they cover all of my tuition and my accommodation, but I have to get myself there and around Berlin, not to mention getting food and water!

I work full time as a music teacher and spend every day at the piano, teaching, supporting and encouraging singers young and old, and rarely get time to focus on my own voice. It's a pleasure to share my passion with so many wonderful singers and I love all of my wonderful students, but the thought of spending a month improving my own singing is enough to bring me to tears!

This is the first time I've EVER asked the world for help, but for me, this opportunity means the world and more, and would open up many more professional opportunities to me going forward.
