Get Les and this unique love story back on its feet.
Donation protected
Last week, Les had a severe accident. He broke his leg tripping on a stair. The injury required surgical repair, and given his age, the healing process is slow and challenging.
Les’s wife is already bravely battling recurring cancer—multiple myeloma—for the fourth consecutive year. Unfortunately, due to the pain from compressed fractures in her vertebrae, she is confined to a wheelchair, which obviously severely limits her ability to support Les in his recovery. Plus, obviously, she has a massive health battle of her own already.
Why They Need Your Help:
With both Les and his wife facing serious health challenges, they are overwhelmed by medical bills. Their immediate family has already stretched their resources too thin because of helping with the ongoing costs of cancer treatment. Les needs homecare assistance for the next three months to aid his recovery.
How Your Donations Will Be Used:
Covering outstanding hospital and treatment costs.
Providing essential homecare for Les while he literally gets back on his feet.
Personal Note:
Les and his wife share a beautiful and unique love story. They grew up as neighbors but married other people in their first marriages. (Perhaps as children, the seven year age-gap was a bit much.) Later in life, they rediscovered each other, marrying when Les was 63 and his wife was 56. They have now been married for 21 years. Their journey is a testament to enduring love and second chances.
As a couple, Les and his wife are local legends, known for organizing activities that support orphans and disadvantaged children through the Human Help Network.
Please help get this remarkable love story back on its feet...
