Get Kenya Curling to the Pan-Continental Qualifier
Donation protected
The Kenya Curling Federation will compete for the first time at the Pan-Continental "B" Championships -- which have replaced the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships -- in November of 2022. The only ice rink in Kenya has been closed due to Covid-19 since shortly after the Federation formed, and will not re-open in time for them to train there. So they need to leave the country to practice on ice. These trips aren't in their budget.
To start, one member each of the men's and women's teams will be coming to the Plainfield Curling Club in South Plainfield, NJ, USA to train for two weeks at the end of January, 2022.
We are starting by working to defray their expenses for the trip to Plainfield, get them curling shoes, and perhaps contribute to further training trips as they continue their preparations to compete in World Curling Federation events.
