Kent Huffnagle had heart failure on February 7, 2019 and was admitted to Keck Hospital to be put on the heart transplant list. Before he could be added to the list, Kent suffered a stroke. Soon after beginning physical therapy to recover from the stroke, Kent had open heart surgery to connect a device to his heart to aid in oxygenating his blood, but it was too late. He began to suffer complete organ failure and the doctors advised turning off the machines. Kent passed away on May 21, 2019. Our 8 year old daughter and I are now left in severe dire straights. Kent was the sole provider for the family. We have household, transportation, childcare, and medical expenses which are going unpaid.
