❤️On the 13th of July our dad (David Mathieson) suddenly passed away from a severe bleed on his brain.
His daughter Katie Lapp, is currently in the US with her husband Sergei, and they are desperately trying to get back home to Aus to be with family & farewell dad with loved ones.
As you may have heard, travel restrictions in Australia are currently very tight which has meant seats have become significantly more expensive and more complicated to obtain, and (as mind boggling as it is) this is set to continue well into 2022. We're constantly contacting airlines, Australian and US Embassies and travel agents to pursue any possible avenues to arrange for them to return, and we've had so many of you reach out asking how you can help or support them in the process! I thought it would be worth putting this page together to provide an easy option for anyone wanting to financially support them in this time, and (for my peace of mind, at least ) to pursue everything we can to try get them home.
