Get Katie moving again

Hi, I'm Becca Montaño-Smith and a friend of Katie Cunningham Scherrer. You probably know Katie as the fierce, funny children's librarian who never quit working and hustling. She has faced some very serious health problems in the last couple of years and has been unable to work. Her health issues are such that she now needs a motorized wheelchair the cost of which Medicare does NOT cover. Having this chair would mean she could be independent again, allowing her to participate in Beryl and Chris's lives and to regain some autonomy.

I am asking for your help in donating to the cost of Katie's wheelchair and/or to pass this message on to anyone who knows Katie or who would be willing and able to help.

No amount is too small. All of it will make a difference to Katie! Even a $1 contribution will be a tangible show of support which is just as important.
