MEDICAL TREATMENT AND CARE FOR KATIE LENHARDT (KATIE BURNS)

Hello. My name is Brittnay Schires and I have created this GoFundMe account for my best friend, Katie Lenhardt, who is desperately in need of PROPER medical treatment, diagnosis, and care. Katie is an amazing soul and I know without one doubt that this world is a better place with her in it....so we MUST get her well and time is incredibly critical at this point. Any donation you make will go directly to her and her family to cover any expenses incurred with getting her PROPER MEDICAL CARE AND TREATMENT.

The goal right now is to get her to Mayo Clinic in Minn. Thank you, truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for all the support, thoughts, prayers, donations, etc. your kindness means more than any words can say. I will also include additional details about her illnesses and journey below.

Katie is a mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and above all, she's a truly AMAZING & REMARKABLE human being.

Katie was born deaf in one ear and in her early 30's was diagnosed with Meniere's which quickly began affecting what hearing she had left. She began experiencing severe drop attacks, tinnitus, vertigo, etc. and the doctors prescribed prednisone (steroid) in an attempt to save her hearing and help with the symptoms. Things very quickly escalated and it seems like, within a matter of months, her body and health were on a very rapid and aggressive decline which today has resulted in her being bedridden, unrecognizable, and sicker than anyone could have ever imagined. Since the Meniere's diagnosis, she has also been diagnosed with and experiencing symptoms of these other severe conditions which I've listed below.... and these are just what I am aware of, I'm sure there's more...

*Ponticulus

*Trigeminal Neuralgia

* Bruising over her body, specifically her legs and breasts

*Adrenal Crisis

*Diabetes (sugars peak upwards near 600)

*Cataracts and other issues with her eyes and tear ducts

* Cushing's Disease from the prednisone

*Occipital Neuralgia

*Neuropathy of the hands and feet

*Chronic sweating

*Tremors

*Raynauds Phenomenon

*Osteapenia and Osteprosis

*Consistent Thrush, MRSA, and random Abscesses

*Her Pancrease, Liver, and Kidneys are all failing to some extent

I'm sure there is more than what I've listed and again, this was an otherwise healthy young woman 5 years ago....Katie has yet to be given any type of concrete diagnosis as to the root of these problems and therefore she has yet to receive any proper treatment and she is growing sicker by the day. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that her getting help NOW is CRITICAL and must happen...I truly believe at this point, her life literally depends on it.
