My friend Kai is struggling financially since losing their job as a video game artist, and with bills piling up they are at imminent risk of losing everything.
1) They are behind on rent and have received a notice to vacate. Rent is approximately $1000; for half of that we can get them through November 5th. We need the other half by November 10th. Late fees will also be assessed and I'm not sure what those will come to.
To reiterate: we need at least $500 by 5pm Central on November 5th! Otherwise we will need to spend probably even more money toward moving them to a new home.
2) Kai has been unable to afford the antidepressants or hormones that they need. This is making life all the more difficult right now and becoming a big stress on mental health.
3) Kai has also been unable to afford groceries for some time. I've been buying them groceries to help keep them afloat, but some money to cover food expenses would be very helpful.
Our long term plan is:
* Continue looking for jobs
* Continue seeking alternative sources of income or places to stay
* Seek novelty and friends to stave off depression
