Getting Justin Back on his Feet
Donation protected
July 1st, 2018. The day that changed my brother's life, and sent shock-waves through everyone who knows and loves him. Enjoying a ride on his motorcycle with a friend going to a BBQ on a beautiful, Sunday afternoon when suddenly cut off by a driver in a car that left him with little time to react. Somehow, he and his passenger survived the accident, a miracle considering the circumstance. By the grace of God, a team of heroes was nearby, and rushed to help them, which no doubt saved his life (and quite possibly his leg). He suffered major damage and he has had major re-construction to his foot, ankle, and knee. He has endured so much in the last few weeks, and getting him back to health has been the main focus. He has been fighting severe pain with a strength I have never seen, and with positivity whenever possible. We are so grateful he is alive!! He will recover from this, but will be a long road.
Now that he is home, we have been trying to figure out what is next. Of course, the driver who hit him was unlicensed & not insured, so we are waiting on our options. Meanwhile, aside from the medical bills (can't even begin to imagine), Justin will be unable to work for an uncertain amount of time. Doc said 5-6 months. Despite what a rock star he is, it will take time to heal and get compensation (if any) after this accident. We can only pray for justice for this trauma.
He's not one to ever think of asking for help, but under these circumstances, your generosity, no matter how small, can help Justin manage through the tough months ahead without income. He is already worried about bills and taking care of his daughter, Jazmine. It would be nice to turn this nightmare around and sprinkle hope for the future! All of our friends & loved ones have been great support, and we really appreciate the kindness.
Look twice, save a Life ♡
