Greetings family and friends

When one stands in the presence of such a great a human as Muhammad Ali, it is said that an indescribable food comes into your body and one is filled with inspiration and dreams. And so we take that inspiration into our life's journey. Sometimes though, life itself throws a curved ball, either through untimely death or debilitating illness.

In this photo we see a young Joe standing beside the great Muhammad Ali. The furthermost thing in his mind, on that day, was the fact that in 2010 he would start losing power in his legs and three years later be diagnosed with SECONDARY PROGRESSIVE MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS.

“ Well son, you're gonna be on a roller coaster, you gotta get in, hang on, and sit tight” said the doctor.

Realizing he could no longer work or afford to live in Hollywood, he moved to the desert where he began to reshape his life and dreams. Because Joe served in the Air Force he was eligible for help through the VA. The VA help, still ongoing, has been in Joe’s words “absolutely amazing.”

Less than a year ago, Joe lost the ability to walk altogether, having lost all power in one leg. Joe is now wheel-chair bound. The VA have stepped up again and are providing Joe with a fantastic wheelchair.

Now here comes the hitch we are hoping we can help Joe unhitch.

“just got the news that my van is not suitable to be converted into a powerchair accessible vehicle. The conversion costs a fortune and they won't do it on my 2013 Toyota Sienna with 120,000 miles. The VA will pay for the conversion but not the chassis. Mobility Works, the conversion company, will sell me an already converted van if I give them my Sienna and $10k.”

There are other options but all seem to round up around $10 000.
