Hello Family, Friends, and Community!

My name is Jazz! I am a third-year doctoral student studying Applied Developmental Psychology. I am also the first in my family to pursue graduate education. I recently was accepted to the American Psychological Association Division 45 Society for the Psychological Study of Culture, Ethnicity, and Race Research conference in San Diego to present my thesis as a poster. My thesis is titled Exploring Civic Engagement and Discrimination Experiences Among Young Black Women. Despite being given this amazing opportunity to share my work and network with colleagues and prominent researchers, there are some financial obligations that I need help with. I have to pay for registration fees, flight, hotel, transportation, and food. The conference is July 13-15, 2023.

As a doctorate student, I have no summer funding from my university. Any and all financial support means everything to my success!
